As well as the docks, the event took over parts of Eveline St, Manitoba Ave and Superior Ave. There was live entertainment by "Yours Truly", silent auction, T-shirt sales and many refreshment stands at this family-friendly event.
The event is an annual fundraiser put on by the Morgoch family and their friends to help raise money for support and counselling group Compassionate Friends. Compassionate Friends helped the Morgoch family deal with their grief after they lost their daughter, Candace Morgoch in 1995. The organization, which is based out of Winnipeg, acts as a support network for parents who are dealing with the loss of a child, and helps to provide them with counselling. Over $50,000 has been raised so far.
