The 2-1/2 ton M-135 Cargo Truck is on display at the 45th Infantry Division Museum at 2145 N.E. 36th Street, Oklahoma City.

This vehicle was manufactured by General Motors and has automatic transmission. It was in service from 1952 to 1966.

The truck had a maximum speed of 58 mph and a range of 220 miles. It was powered by a GMC 270 Inline Water Cooled 6-cyl 302ci gas engine.

Knicknamed the "Deuce-and-a-half," it could hold a dozen troops in the back, or could be filled with equipment and supplies. The M135 platform was one of the most versatile made, letting the military install pretty much whatever type of equipment they needed.

Because of the automatic transmission, this made it easy for anyone to handle it. Some models had a PTO (power take off) which either powered a winch located on the front bumper, or a large list of different pieces of equipment installed on/in the back of the truck.
