Text of marker:

"Site of the first church and town house in Merrimack, New Hampshire. Erected 1756 - burned 1898. This granite marker is the original door stone. Erected by the town of Merrimack 1934"

The site is next to an old cemetery. There is also a stocks and a memorial to Merrimack's only casualty of the Revolutionary War.
