This fountain was made to resemble Mount St. Helens, the volcano which erupted so spectacularly in the 1980s. St Helen, Oregon is named for this mountain which can be seen clearly from here.

This fountain was made to resemble Mount St. Helens, the volcano which erupted so spectacularly in the 1980s. St Helen, Oregon is named for this mountain which can be seen clearly from here.
The fountain is located in the middle of the street (more or less), but it can be safely visited by parking on a side street and using the cross walks.
As of August 2010, there was an active traditional geocache hidden at this location.
