The Live Oak Grange was chartered in 1932 and this particular location was completed in 1957, when this area east of Santa Cruz was all cropland and orchards. In the following decades of urbanization, membership in the Grange declined. It has revived by taking leadership in programs for organic farmers and for community members interested in sustainability. There are meetings on the first and third Tuesdays each month as well as special programs. For more information see the website (

Visit Instructions:
To post a visit to an existing Grange Hall waymark, you will need to post a picture of the front of the building, with the name of the chapter in the background if that is possible. Including your gps device in the picture is not neccesary, but wouldn't be cause for disapproval. If your Grange Hall has any unusual or unique features that you feel others would enjoy viewing, additional pictures are always welcome.
