The Plummer Building Carillon was dedicated on September 16, 1928 to "the American soldier". With improvements and modifications over the years, today the 56-bell carillon has a range of 4.5 octaves. The Plummer Building itself is on the National Register of Historic Places and listed as a US Historic Landmark.
