The Burros of Oatman, AZ - Petting Farms and Zoos on Waymarking.com

Drive through Arizona on Rt. 66 and you are bound to run into this little mining town whose population of 128 must all be devoted to entertaining tourists. The burros who roam through the town, nudging the visitors for treats, are a huge attraction and when we were there, they were attracting more attention than the shops and displays. Visitors can purchase carrots and burro feed throughout the town. The town protects the burro babies who are do not yet have the back teeth needed to chew the carrots by placing stickers on their foreheads of a carrot with a line through it.
