This plain stone font is located at the east end of the church north of the central aisle.

The font is very old and is believed to be as old as the church itself. It is made of Purbeck marble, the wooden lid is modern. It is thought that the font may have been nearer the south door as was the custom years ago. Its present location allows a greater number of the congregation to see the baptism more clearly.
Approximate Age of Artefact: 13th or early 14th century
