If you look at the present satellite view you will see that the waypoint photos are slightly different. The reason is that Transport Canada changed the requirements for Helicopter pads in 1998. A lot of Hospital pads that met the previous requirements failed to meet the new ones.
Many of the pads where built in the 1960's to 1970's. The helicopters used as Air ambulances have grown considerably in size since then, along with community expansion around the hospitals, which also contributed to the need for upgrades.
RJH's pad was increased in size, the surrounding fence was moved out, the pad was marked with navigation lights and quite a few elevated obstructions were marked with paint and navigation lights if they are in the likely flight path of a helicopter.
