Al's Italian Beef is an outstanding place for a messy, mouth watering Italian Beef sandwich.

Located just a couple miles from the Sears Tower (I'm not going to call it the new name) and only a couple blocks from the United Center (where the Chicago Bulls play).

Al's Italian Beef is a small shop in a nice looking neighborhood. There is a small parking lot to the east of the building and there is street parking too.

The sandwiches are dunked in the beef au jus, so ask for plenty of napkins. It is worth EVERY finger-lick though. The sandwiches (spicy and sweet) are very, very tasty. The cheese, for fries or sandwich, is zesty and warm, perfect for a cold Chicago day.

There are no booths to sit at inside the joint. There are a small number of tables outside though, so be prepared to eat standing up. Again though... it is worth it!
