From the Atlanta Botanical Garden website: "Extending 600 feet long and up to 40 feet high into the branches of oaks, hickories and poplars, the Kendeda Canopy Walk is considered the only tree canopy-level walkway of its kind in the United States. Strolling the 12-foot-wide concrete pathway, visitors feel like they are floating through the leafy clouds of storied hardwoods, thanks to the bridge's four large masts which seemingly disappear amongst the treetops. The dynamic and virtually invisible structural system creates a suspension bridge that affords visitors an aerial view of the highly patterned woodland garden below. Understory trees, native azaleas, camellias, hydrangeas, perennials and seasonal bulbs put on quite a show." The given coordinates are for the entrance to the Atlanta Botanical Garden, located at 1345 Piedmont Avenue in Atlanta, GA. The Garden is open Tues.-Sun., except for holidays. From Apr.-Oct. it is open 9am-7pm and from Nov.-Mar. it is open 9am-5pm. Cost of admission is $18.95 for adults, $12.95 for children 3-12, and those under 3 are free.
