In 2003, the "Dairy-Airs" balloon event was combined with the long-standing dairy festival in Sulphur Springs, Texas.

A fun event which takes place around the festivities of the dairy festival, including a homemade ice cream freeze-off and a dairy-themed parade where balloon baskets ride on a flatbed trailer. The area is typical of northeast Texas's wide-open range.
