The plaque reads:
THE PLUMMER BUILDING
1518 Miner Street
Henry Plummer came to Idaho Springs during the Colorado Gold Rush of 1859. He was the town's first banker and by the early 1880's began buying and developing commercial properties along Miner Street.
He and his wife, Emma, built the storefronts at 1514-1516-1518 Miner Street. In 1886 Plummer opened a thriving flour, coal, feed and hay store at 1518 Miner Street.
Henry Plummer was one of the founding fathers of Idaho Springs and served on Idaho Springs' first City Council.
