A small stone marker on the spot of the first garrison built in New Hampshire.

The text on this marker reads "Around this house was erected in 1746 the first stated garrison in Concord. To protect from the French and Indian enemy the families of Rev. Timothy Walker, Capt. John Chandler, Abraham Bradley, Samuel Bradley, John Webster, Nathaniel Rolf, Joseph Pudney, Isaac Walker Jr and Obadiah Foster." This marker lies about a half a block from the Pierce Manse (the house, not the NH Historic Marker) in the front yard of a house.
