Local native Jim Dyke has a marvelous art gallery and framing shop in downtown Jefferson City---Missouri's capital city. Featured are various works of art of various artists, but also his own original work.
His artwork hangs in Jefferson City, from the Chamber of Commerce and offices in the Missouri State Capitol to aboard the new USS Missouri, a Virginia Class nuclear submarine for the US Navy that is already patrolling the seas of the world.
Jim is very interested in the history of the area including its Missouri River past, our Civil War past, our railroad past, our state capitol, and explorers of the Lewis & Clark expedition.
He has just finished an oil painting to commemorate the 100th anniversary of our great capitol fire of February 5, 1911. It is entitled 'Capitol On Fire.' See his website listed below for further details.
