Clayton Elementary (now Partnership) school was where I attended 5th and 6th grade. I remember the gym/lunchroom had an inverted roof. The beams that support the roof are exposed inside the gym/lunchroom. The janitors used buckets to many years when the snow melted to catch the drips. The roof was finally successfully sealed a few years after I had moved on you York Junior High School (7th and 8th grade). We had those wonderful, distracting large plate glass windows that were no help in concentration on a nice day - or a snowy day.

The air conditioning units on the roof were added many years after I graduated from High School.

I was walking my dogs past the school today when I realized that it is a Googie! So I went home and grabbed my camera and GPSr and posted.
