Built in 1740 by Williamn Van Voorhees. His son, Albert, operated it as a tavern in the late 1700's. The building was enlarged in 1824 and the original section is now the dining room and kitchen of the larger building.

The home was purchased by Uriah Quackenbush in 1867. His grand-daughter, Grace Quackenbush Zabriskie, bequeathed the house to the town of Wyckoff in 1973.
