William Van Voorhees built this house in 1740 and for a time it was operated as a tavern. It was significantly expanded in 1824. In 1867 it was purchased by Uriah Quackenbush. His grand-daughter, Grace Quackenbush Zabriskie bequeathed it to the town of Wyckoff upon her death and it is now a museum.
