This totem pole stands outside the foot passenger ticket booth at the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal in West Vancouver BC.
It celebrates the 100th anniversary of when the colonies of Vancouver Island and British Columbia joined together to become the province of BC.
The plaque reads: 1966
Project of Native Indians Participation Centennial Sub-committee
to Commemorate
the Centenary of the Union in 1866 of the Colonies on Vancouver Island and the Mainland as British Columbia
