There are lots of interesting items in this church including a 14/15th century wall painting on the north wall which has faded.

The Kirton Family Memorial at the west end of the church erected in memory of Thomas Kirton is a fine piece of work it shows his wife Mary and their twelve children [ those in cradles represent the children who died in infancy] The family occupied the Former Manor House from 1554 - 1685.

Oliver Cromwells 2nd cousin MARY kIRTON Lived here during the Civil War

The memorials in the Sanctuary and chancel are of The Humfrey family and cover five generations of Rectors for 157 years between 1727 and 1902 with one gap of 19 years.
