Big Bear Farms - Powell, Ohio - Solitary Silos on Waymarking.com

These silos used to stand on Big Bear Farms, which was the main farm for Big Bear supermarkets. These silos were always a prominent feature in the area, even when it was just farmland, and featured the Big Bear logo. Eventually the farm was turned into this strip mall, and other parts became a housing development. The silos were kept as a Big Bear supermarket went in just behind them.

In the late 1990's and early 2000's Big Bear went into a decline and began closing stores. The last store was closed in 2004. Some of the former stores were purchased by Giant Eagle and Kroger. This store became, and still is a Giant Eagle, and the Big Bear logo has since been painted over.
