The original Pori brewery at this site started in 1853. In 1928 the breweries of Pori joined their forces and established Porin Oluttehdas Ltd, which started to brew later famous Karhu-lager. It was a part of Pyynikki Group until 1972 when Sinebrychoff bought it.
During the last years 80 percent of total production was Karhu. Bottling ended here in 2007 and brewing in 2009. There is still a small brewpub opened in 2009 next to this brewery: Karhupanimo, which is owned by Sinebrychoff (Carlsberg).
Update 10/2021:
Brewery has been demolished since I created the Waymark, but you can still see the old electricity house where Karhupanimo and Ravintola Panimo brewpubs located. Now this building is a pop-up restaurant, usually open summertime. There is a lot of new houses in the brewery site now.
