This silhouette sculpture is beautifully situated on a large mound of rocks and stone slabs. It depicts in life-size a kneeling cowboy with hat in hand, kneeling before the Cross. The cowboy's horse stands behind him, patiently waiting.
There are several slight variations of this sculpture done by various artists in digital painting and resin. The artist for this silhouette is unknown.
The setting is a field to the west of the Canadian County Cowboy Church. The Cowboy/Cross depiction appears on the church's website as their church "logo". This is quite a startling and pleasant site to see along Route 66 as you enter Yukon.
