This harp is located on a reedy island in a small "lagoon" toward the center of Indian Boundary Park.
The Park's Advisory Council's website (visit link) had the following to report about the harp's installation:

"Wind Harp Installation

5/1/2010

A wind harp, donated by designer and local artist, Craig Brandt, was installed on the island in the lagoon in early May. The harp was first displayed on Michigan Avenue in 2008.

" 'Wind Harp' consists of a stainless steel framework with titanium strings stretched across two bridges. Strings are positioned to allow the wind to blow across the strings. This produces a varying collaboration of sound. This piece will hum when the weather is dry and the wind is steady from the proper direction, or it will sound with added 'wind hammers' that hit the strings. The structure of the base is cedar and is used to create height for the harp as well as resonate sound. There is also added sound enhancement that the designer will use to make unique compositions and create more volume. The intention of the piece is the creation of a sculpture that is man-made but resides in its setting as a natural element of material, form, and sound."
