This sluice gate is located exactly at the border of Hungary and Slovakia, at the Ipoly river. The main function of the barrages is to enhanced the water level of the Ipoly and compensating on the former river basin area. You can also find a very interesting architecture solution next to this gates, a working fish-ladder.
Easy to reach the area using a dirt road, started from the point of N47 56.125 E18 46.601. There is no border controlling, the area is visitable for anyone.
