This liberation monument has been erected on the initiative of the municipality. The statue "female figure with a victim of war" was made by H.C. Visser. Together with the tank statue nearby it serves to remind us of the battle which took place in 1944. The place where this monument is sited is called the "Triangle", a point situated between the villages of Woensdrecht en Hoogerheide.
