I was visiting the north east of England and doing some Geocaching whilst in the area. There was one cache near this bridge so I went to find it. As I was returning to my car I heard a scream and thought the worst. Looking round, for the source of the scream, I saw someone bouncing up and down on the bungee screaming rhythmically with each drop. They were then lowered into a boat and taken away. I watched the next few jumps and one refusal at the last minute.
Later in the day I was at the other side of the river and spoke with one of the transporter bridge staff who told me this was a regular Sunday event. Not that I would be trying it!
