This is a simple font with corniced bowl in limestone on an octagonal sandstone pillar. It is mounted on a sandstone plinth which has a rearward extending stepand is probably C17th or early C18th in date. The cover is of wood with fancy iron scrollwork and a central lifting ring. It is just to the left inside the main south entrance porch door of this grade IO listed C14th and C15th church.
The church was restored in the late C19th and is built of coursed squared limestone with limestone and sandstone dressings, and slate roofs. It consists of a chancel, a nave, north and south aisles, a south aisle chapel, a south porch, and a west tower with steeple.
