Southern Nazarene University is a private, Christian school with a 40-acre campus west of Oklahoma City. Established in this area in 1909, it has a full range of Bachelor and Master's programs, as well as accelerated adult programs and online classes. It has an enrollment of just over 2000.
Two large brick gazebos were found on campus. The coordinates above are for the gazebo located in the northeast part of campus, just south of the tennis courts. A second gazebo is located southwest of this one, north of the SNU Library at 35 30.830 97 37.779.
These gazebos are 8-sided and approximately 20 ft. in diameter. They are constructed of brick with simple lines and six large openings separated by brick columns. There are two openings for entrance. The roof is composition shingle. The six "window" openings have sills that can be sat upon and it is assumed that students use these two gazebos for rest and relaxation. The floors are concrete and there is no seating except on the brick openings.
