The monument consists of a bronze plaque on a concrete pillar. The plaque depicts an aircraft (C-17) which are common to fly in an out of Dover Air Force base. Photos were taken in the summer of 2011.

The plaque reads, "Dedicated to C-133 aircrew members and support personnel of the 1st and 39th heavy airlift squadrons and the the memory of those members who are no longer with us." There is a cache here. Be respectful as this is a memorial.
