I was out on a caching run, when I stumbled across this incredible sculpture in the middle of nowhere. The learned folk at the weather vanes category will not allow this, but it's still a terrific kinetic sculpture. For the best effect, try to come by on a breezy day, so the optical effect of different wind speed on the sphere can be best appreciated. At a particular wind speed I saw a rainbow effect in the spere, but of course I could not get a picture of it.
Please note that this is about 10 feet inside of private property, but photos can easily be taken from outside the fence.
