One of the world’s most famous houses is the weekend retreat called Fallingwater. Begun in 1936 and completed the following year, Wright designed the house for Pittsburgh department store owner Edgar J. Kaufmann, whose son, Edgar Jr., was a Taliesin fellow

One of my all time favorite buildings. With it's concrete cantilevered terraces seem to float above the river and shallow falls. The house is approached through a tree-lined path. Then one crosses over a small bridge. Then you see the cantilevered terraces, the detail, the view -- whats not to like.
If you like Fallingwater you must go 7 miles down the road to Kentuck Knob, you will not regret it.
