This campus in the center of town is a major economic driver. It used to be a Teachers college before being incorporated into the University of Wisconsin network of campuses.

For more than 140 years, UW-Whitewater has provided an exceptional learning experience for its students. We're proud of our history and excited about the future. There is much happening on this campus that benefits the educational experiences of our students.
Among the exciting additions to campus is the opening of Starin Hall, a suite-style residence hall that will serve upper class members. Starin Hall is a modern building that creates a positive living and learning environment for all of our students. It is designed to be a LEED certified building and upholds the campus' commitment to sustainability. Starin Hall will also allow us to use its many facilities for camps and conferences during the summer. The building promises to be another great addition to our campus.
Our faculty and staff and students continue to excel in research and engagement with the region. Our faculty and staff from all four colleges - Arts and Communication, Letters and Sciences, Education, and Business and Economics - continue to blend research and teaching. They are also engaged with outreach and service projects in the surrounding region.
The experience here at UW-Whitewater is rich. We continue to work to provide the best learning experience possible on what is a truly beautiful campus.
