A stainless steel abstract sculpture lies just above the surface of the water of Lily Pond in Bushnell Park. It is located at the west end of the pond near the Carousel. The 12' diameter sculpture was created by Norwalk, CT sculptor Charles O. Perry.
Parallel rods are connected to a pair of semi-circles placed at 90 degrees angles to one another. The rods are divided into four groups, arranged by connecting the end of one semi-circle with the middle of the other so that the sculpture changes its appearance as you change your viewing angle. The sculpture was commissioned, at a cost of $43,000, and by the Travelers Insurance Company as part of the Art for All program and donated to Bushnell Park. It was formally dedicated on September 24, 1990 and given the name "Harmony".
