The California Farmers' Market Association organizes this wonderful market in downtown Mountain View. Crowds show up every Sunday morning to browse over 70 booths filled with delicious California grown produce, beautiful floral arrangements, freshly caught fish, and prepared foods ranging from cakes to sausages to ethnic specialties. You'll even find entertainment, including live music and a clown making balloon animals for the kids.
This market is a great place for a huge selection of locally grown foods at great prices. It can get pretty crowded, though. Don't be surprised if the line for the bread vendor stretches halfway down the block. Even so, I think it's definitely worth the wait for their New York style rye!
There is plenty of street parking nearby, and there are always spots available in the train station lot.
