A Chapel of Ease is a church building other than the parish church, built within the bounds of a parish for the attendance of those who cannot reach the parish church conveniently.
This small church, which is still used for worship on the 2nd and 4th Sunday's of each month was once the place of worship for the village. Now days, the main church is St Michael's in Mickleham.
It is said that many years ago this chapel was once a barn, that was converted.
