About 013
Live concerts, dance and club nights, non-pop programming and activities to aspiring musicians, the unique 013 in the heart of Tilburg is the stage for pop and dance culture in the broadest sense. Ten years after the foundation is 013 in the Netherlands on the map. The merger between the three organizations Tilburg Lies North, Bat Cave and lace music store may be called a success. Besides the three concert halls - Dommelsch Hall, Small Hall and Stage01 - are in the building a recording studio and rehearsal rooms six.

On the waves of a vibrant music scene came in 1984 in Tilburg North Is. As North Is a single room for a thousand visitors proved too small for Tilburg, were the then chairman and managing director in the early nineties a revolutionary idea: a new building that pop a professional position would have and where in addition to concerts and dance activities also space would be for music production and education. They knew two other venues in the city directly enthusiasm for the idea: the Bat Cave, stage for youth since 1985 and the music store side, a volunteer organization that focuses on early rock musicians in rehearsal. The municipality of Tilburg supported the new plan wholeheartedly. In a prominent place in the heart of Tilburg in 1997 started the construction of the Popcluster. On November 13, 1998 013 opens its doors, unique in the Netherlands at that time: the first new building for pop music in the center of town. But what would be the new name of Stichting Popcluster? A competition among the staff provided many names, but was selected as the idea of ??Monica Woo. In 2010, the Bat Cave grown and continued under the name Stage01.

Unique in the Netherlands
The various functions of the building and the special design of architects Benthem Crouwel makes the building of 013 unique in the Netherlands and Europe. The most striking element of the building in the heart of Tilburg is the exterior. The dressing of the walls with a black quilted bedspread (with a glass wool-filled rubber roof and wall coverings) proved a hit. The CD's on the wall mark the attachment points, allowing for a functional and playful character of the building is expressed. The choice for CDs may require a literal and anecdotal, but as a parody of the flickering lights of Las Vegas a find.

The halls
In the building you get a strong sense of grandeur and space. In addition to building 013 are three different concert halls, two bars, a cloakroom, a recording studio and rehearsal rooms to find five, and the box office and the offices.

Dommelsch Hall
The Dommelsch Room 013 has a capacity of 2,200 visitors and is the largest room in the Dutch club circuit. The ascending staircases and balconies in a U-shape take care of everything for a good view of the stage. The hall will remain so, despite the capacity, always intimate. It is equipped with a large stage and has a fantastic acoustics. The balcony was locked, so the room can be reduced. There may also be placed chairs, which the hall is also suitable for acoustic performances and theatrical shows.

Small Hall
The Small Hall can accommodate 350 visitors. Also this room has a balcony and an adjacent cafe. The mobile platform enables the audience to any desired genre can be adjusted. In the Small Hall space is given to regional, national and international artists in the broadest sense. Discovery and surprise are the magic words in the Small Hall. Concerts of innovative bands, regional festivals, but also regular club nights and nights of performing the Rock Academy found their way into the Hall to the public.

Stage01
Stage01 is the smallest room in 013. It is a club room that can accommodate 150 visitors. Stage01 characterized by a more idiosyncratic programming and meeting. There are not only concerts but also a number of regular club events are organized mainly by volunteers. In that respect, especially the Metal Matinee on Sunday, and the monthly Fuel Club on Friday a long tradition.

In the basement of 013, a rehearsal room to find that unique complex in Tilburg. The place to one of the fully furnished rooms to rehearse. Between the practice rooms in, is a modern studio with advanced recording facilities, complete with all necessary equipment and professional guidance during the entire recording process
