The author Jon Sherman was a reporter for the local newspaper the "Titusville Hearld" for many years before he past away a few years ago. He had such a passion for the history of the Titusville area that when the opportunity presented it's self he could not resist but write a book. After joining forces with photographer Art Becker they assembled large amounts of material which they then sifted through to to come up with only the best information for their book.

The book they put together is on Drake Well and the surrounding park. Their book contains all the essential information for the reader to understand just what went on in the area to start the modern Oil Age. The book is a low cost (using Amazons used and new section)way to gain a lot of information on a very important part of not only the local history but that of our nation and the world.
