Ivo Andric is a symbol of the Bosnian mix of people. Born in Bosnia, from Croat roots and raised in Serbia. He wrote most of his more notable works during the Second World War, when he lived in Belgrade under domiciliary detention.

Probably he was awarded with the Nobel due to his novel Bridge over the Drina (visit link)

Nowadays the house is home of a small museum and of a well known restaurant.
