Horas de Chumbo (Hours of Lead) is a work by the Portuguese artist Ruy Chafes.
It´s composed by two long black cones, supported by rectangular bases near its terminations, forming in plan, an angle of approximately 45 °. If we look at the inside, like binoculars they throw aor look at distant points in the landscape. They also create a sounding board effect by projecting the sound to the opposite side.
It´s placed in the Portuguese Pier in parque das nações facing the Tagus river.
