Half Dome is the iconic rock formation of Yosemite National Park. It is a granite headwall that overlooks Yosemite Valley.
257.2 million quarters were minted in Philadelphia and 263.2 million were minted in Denver for a total of 520.4 million quarters. In addition, the San Francisco Mint produced 3.26 million proof coins and 1.68 million silver proof coins for inclusion in government issued proof sets.
