Located in a small public garden at a road junction this former drinking fountain is located in Bangor.

The fountain is currently in its third location, having been moved twice due to building developments.

There is an inscription on the fountain which reads:

ERECTED
AND PRESENTED
TO THIS CITY
BY ALDERMAN
JOHN EVAN
ROBERTS J.P.
MAYOR 1895-6
1898-9 & 1900
ON THE OCCASION
OF HIS VACATING
THE MAYORIAL CHAIR
9TH NOVR 1900.

On each side of the fountain there is a lion's head through which the water used to flow. At the base of the pedestal there is an animal drinking trough.
Setting: Outside

Place: Small public garden.

Use: Monument.
