The placard accompanying this dress reads:
"Beatle dress, 1964
Worn by Pauline Richey when selling
programmes at the premiere of the
Beatle's film A Hard Day's Night at the
London Pavilionn 1964."
The dress is black and white on a diagonal slant down the dress. The primarily white part has black polka-dots and depicts the faces of the Fab Four. The primarily black part of the dress has white polka dots and a depiction of a guitar.
The Museum of London relates the history of the city in a mostly chronological fashion...and this dress (along with a copy of the LP "Its a Hard Days Night" is in the modern portion of the Museum.
The Museum is open everyday 10 to 6.
