Located on the front veranda of the Silver Falls Public Library, this modest bench is honour the Space Shuttle Challenger crew who lost their lives on January 28th, 1986.

As you enter the Silver Falls Public Library you can see this memorial bench to the Space Shuttle Challenger crew. On January 28th, 1986 Michael J. Smith, Dick Scobee, Ronald McNair, Ellison Onizuka, Christa McAuliffe, Gregory Jarvis, and Judith Resnik lost thier lives when the Challenger broke up only 73 seconds into the flight.
