The First Church Of Christ, Scientist - Elyria was constructed beginning in 1906 and completed in 1907 by splitting an existing house in two and adding a central room between the two halves. The church building retains a Late Victorian appearance. The church building continues to serve its Christian Scientist congregation.

The church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
