We've had an unseasonably warm spring (93 degrees in March, anyone? In Oklahoma, that is NOT normal---uncommon, but not normal at all). Today on the way back from the barn where we keep our horses we saw a small turtle crossing the road. It's the first I've seen so far, so we stopped and helped it across. . . good thing, too, since the car behind us was speeding and careless. This is a three-toed box turtle.

Visit Instructions:
Describe what happened. Example
"Mother Blanding had made her nest between the goldenrod and bluestem outside my window late last June.
By chance we were sitting on the porch when we noticed little blandings in the same location we had seen the mother take 2 months earlier."
