Stroud Cemetery is/was a cemetery in the southernmost part of Vanderburgh County, south of Evansville, IN. It is near the Ohio River in what is referred to as the "River Bottoms".
The given coordinates take you to the edge of a cornfield and a small thicket of about 5 trees. In the tree area, there is a headstone that is nearly half intact. It has the name "Hawkins" on it, but the dates of birth and death are not present but the he was born on the 23rd of the month - but the month and year are not there.
There are also the broken remains of 2 or 3 other headstones in small chunks laying on the ground next to the "Hawkins" stone. None of the chunks have any more than a "JO" on them, leading to believe there was someone named "John", "Joseph", or something similar.
Research of the cemetery online gives no additional information.
