Mooney Falls is named after Mr. Mooney who was a rock climber who explored this waterfall alone. He slipped and without any safety gear fell to his death. The trail to mooney falls begins at the Supai parking lot. Go about 9 miles to reach it. You will have to rock climb down to the bottom if you want to, or you can take pictures from the top. There is a very well marked trail that goes here so you don't need to bring your rock climbing gear. This falls also has a virtural cache so don't forget it. This waterfall is about 300 feet tall! There is a pool you can swim in, but you have to climb down to get to it. Have fun, but don't get too close to the edge.
