The Library is a modern one story building with limited windows and a metal roof.
The Valley of the Teton's Library was officially opened Wednesday April 20, 1966. The Library was a project of the Chambermaids, a women's auxiliary of the Victor Chamber of Commerce. This was a great event that had required many hours of dedication and volunteer work. The first library was a little building behind the Egbert Drug store. The dimensions were 9' x 16'! It had no windows ... only a door. The Egbert’s donated the use of this building until the board was in a position to build. Walter McBride donated a little butane stove. The men of the area came in and built shelves. The women cleaned the building, the area around the building and planted flowers to "spruce it up". Books came from the community and libraries in the surrounding area. Within a week of opening the little building was bursting at the seams, having 7,000 books on its shelves.
