Small towns are usually deserts when it comes to safe GF fare so it was a pleasant surprise to find a dedicated GF bakery/cafe in Monroe, WA. Even more pleasant was the discovery that the fare was quite good. The bread had such a nice texture that I bought a couple of loaves to take home. Their ambitions with cupcakes rival the trendy upscale cupcake boutiques that seem to be popping up everywhere, with creative flavors and all beautifully decorated.
Lunch fare includes sandwiches, soups and salads. They had a warm gooey panini special for lunch the day we were there - yum! There is a lunch counter for eating in and they pack lunches to go too. We were surprised to see a couple of chocolate chip cookies in the bag with our to-go sandwich order - a nice touch.
